Paladin Leveling Guide (WoW Guide)

Paladin Info & General Guide

Intro
As you probably know, the Paladin is an alliance-only class. As a human or dwarf, you have the option to be a Paladin. At first, the Paladin can seem as a warrior, but with healing. That's pretty far from the truth, as the Warrior is a tank and pretty good damage dealer in solo if specced right, while the Paladin is far more a hybrid.
Although the Paladin isn't best at any one thing, it's a great hybrid (and second best at taking a lot of damage [can use plate and shield]).
As a Paladin and hybrid, you can't fight, and you kill slowly, but you can make yourself invulnerable, stun, heal yourself and others, prevent enemies from fleeing, making them replenish your hp and mana (:O) and a lot more.
So, when soloing, you will be almost invulnerable.
That sounds tempting and overpowered, but considering the perhaps lowest dps in the game, it sure evens out (Paladins get low xp-rates as they kill slowly).

How to Play a Paladin
When soloing, we suggest using a two-handed weapon with nice damage output and heal yourself when necessary. Try to choose the right seals, judgments and buffs (Paladins have most buffs in the game).
While we're on the subject of buffs: everyone wants them. When soloing, use Blessing of Might or Blessing of Kings (if protection specced). These will help your damage output. Casters will always want Blessing of Salvation or Wisdom (More mana or less aggro) I always give the priest Salvation, as a healer wipe means a party wipe. Rouges should have Blessing of Might and the tank should have Blessing of Kings or Blessing of Might (preferably Blessing of Kings).

Paladins also have some interesting auras. Use the armor one, if there are a lot of pally's, and try to use the concentration aura as well.
As for seals and judgments, in instances the Judgment of Justice (no fleeing) is a must. You can have it on many mobs at a time, and it usually lasts the whole fight, meaning no fleeing and adds at all!
We usually use anti-flee. If you are fighting non-fleeing enemies, use the Judgment of the Crusader to increase your SoC damage.
We usually use the Seal of Command, at about 15% of your hits, you almost get double damage To get it, you'll need the Retribution talent tree, which you should have some points in anyway until higher lvls. If you get low on mana, use seal of wisdom, which gives you a fast mana regen rate when in combat. The Seal of the Crusader (increased attack speed) is only good when fighting casters, mostly in PvP. The Seal of Righteousness gives some extra holy damage, but we never use it. It CAN be good for offtanking though, as you get more aggro combined with Righteous Fury.

Talents
The Paladin talent tree is divided into Holy, Protection and Retribution talent trees. The holy tree is mostly used by high lvl players, as you'll want to max damage with the retribution tree when leveling. The holy tree gives extra int and str (which are recommended), better healing, less mana output and the only ranged attack The negative is that you lose the damage output or extra defense from the other trees.

The Protection tree makes the Paladin a better tank, giving better shield skills, better aggro gaining and such. You can build this tree up to Blessing of Kings, which is arguably the most useful buff you have. (Depends on where you use it: Healers and casters shouldn't have it on, as mana and reduced aggro is more important.) When getting the BoK, you can improve shield skills (only if you want to offtank alot) or get 10% more amour, who applies when you use 2h too.

The Retribution tree is bent on maxing your damage output. You get the Seal of Command, who ROCKS when soloing You also get 5% more crits in melee, 6% more 2h damage, 8% faster running and riding, better BoM, Repentence (stunning for 8sec) and such. This is the tree we recommend if you want to solo and lvl fast. Respec later if you want to.
You don't always have to max out trees, if you like a decent mix. BoK is good everywhere, so is extra armour. The SoC is a must for soloers, and so is the danmage. The int and str increase is sure nice from the Holy ree. When lvl 60, think about respeccing to a pure holy pala or something, depending on your play style. (Holy is probably what you are needed for by your guild, and OFC Blessing of Kings)

PvP
In PvP, Paladins are usually underestimated.
As a Paladin, you wont nuke em dead in 2 seconds, but you wont be nuked dead in 2 seconds by others either. What you have to be careful of is hunters that use concussive shot and mages that freeze and chill you. This is dangerous, as you can't shoot! Always use a 2h weapon in PvP, and with the shields and heals, Paladins are one of the classes that lasts longest in PvP. As a Paladin, we have managed to kill 3 equal lvled players ALONE in PvP by killing one, stunning, healing, shield, heal, kill, and so on. Try, you'll at least not waste too much time dying

In Instances:
In instances, Paladins should not be tanks (You don't keep aggro well)
And not heal until high lvls, as a Paladin who wants to lvl wont have holy talents (at least not very many). In addition, a normal Paladin below lvl 60 usually wont have all too high int. meaning low mana.
What IS good about the Paladin in instances is the very diverse and powerful buffs and auras, and the fact that you are a hybrid, as mentioned earlier. If the tank loses aggro of a mob or a patrol comes from behind: no problem! The casters are safe, as a plate-wearing part-time tank can hold em off until the warrior gets em! The Paladin can heal long enough for the healer to get some more mana (hopefully) And if your healing aggros the mobs? Invulnerable bubble Blessing of Salvation Plate amour There are many good ways to solve it With this, Paladins are very useful, even if they aren't damage dealers, super tanks or superhealers. As long as you dont think you are any of them, you`ll be fine. When not needed, just slam your 2h weapon in the side of some mob until the healer or tank can't manage their role. That is the time when people finds that Paladins aren't so useless as they thought just because they are hybrids.

Head Start in Arathi and Speed Trick (WoW Horde Guide)

Neither of these will give you much of an advantage, but they are advantages.

In Arathi, when it says 30 seconds until game begins, start running into the gate. Right when it says the game is beginning, there will be a short second where you stilll can't run past the gate, BUT, you can JUMP over it. On a normal mount this is about a 15 foot head start, on an epic more along a 30 foot.

Also, whenever you get a movement speed boost thats timed, when it reachs 0 seconds, waith .5 seconds and then jump. The buff will end mid flight but you will retain your speed until you hit the ground.

If you do this from a hill you could easily end up with another second or two of the speed buff.

Enchanting 1-300 (WoW Horde Guide)

This guide will show you how to get your enchanting skill up from 0 to 300. The guide will only use recipe's available at a trainer until 265 and vendor available recipe's from 265 to 300.

This guide only uses recipes that require components aquired through disenchanting. Shards will be avoided as much as possible, since they are difficult to get.

This guide does not tell you how to get all the different recipe's from quests, vendors or drops. What you do once you hit 300 is entirely up to you.

This guide is primarily aimed at those who want to switch profession at high level or have high level alts, friends or guildmembers.

Preparation
You are going to need a lot of dust, essences and some shards. Create two alt storage characters, level one of the storage characters up to 5, so she can become an enchanter and send green items to her for disenchanting. Send green items to the other storage character. Since disenchanting will also give a skill point, these green items will be used to disenchant later. Use the ingame mail system to send everything to the storage characters. Don't forget to send some gold to the storage characters, so they can send everything back.

Ofcourse you want to know at which level a green item gives what. Below is a list taken from Jaywu's Enchanting FAQ.

Dust and Essence:
Generally the dust is from armor and the essence is from weapons, though it can randomly be anything.

Level 01-10: A little strange dust/lesser magic essence.
Level 11-15: Much strange dust/greater magic essence.
Level 16-20: Much strange dust/lesser astral essence.
Level 21-25: Little soul dust/greater astral essence.
Level 26-30: Much soul dust/lesser mystic essence.
Level 31-35: Little vision dust/greater mystic essence.
Level 36-40: Much vision dust/lesser nether essence.
Level 41-45: Little dream dust/greater nether essence.
Level 46-50: Much dream dust/lesser eternal essence.
Level 51-55: Little illusion dust/greater eternal essence.
Level 56-60: Much illusion dust/greater eternal essence.

Shards:
Shards come from blue or purple items (they can come from greens, but don't count on it).

Level 01-20: Small glimmering.
Level 21-25: Large glimmering.
Level 26-30: Small glowing.
Level 31-35: Large glowing.
Level 36-40: Small radiant.
Level 41-45: Large radiant.
Level 46-50: Small brilliant.
Level 51-60: Large brilliant.

Once you have all the components collected everything has to be send back to your main character. The mailbox only shows the first 50 items you have in the mail. It also puts the last item send to you on top. So to avoid complications send the components you need first last: i.e. the green items to disenchant are needed first, so these are the last to be send back to your main, after strange dust and magic essences, which are needed next, and the other dusts and essences.

To learn recipe's from a trainer costs gold. The amount of gold needed is aproximately 20 to 25 gold if you disenchant all of the dust, essences and shards. If you want to buy everything you need from the auction house expect to spend upwards to 1000 gold (including the arcanite rod). This does not include gold for recipe's from vendors or the auction house.

To enchant something requires runed rods, such as a runed silver rod. To make those runed rods you need normal rods. For example; to make a runed silver rod you need a silver rod. The following rods are needed; copper rod, silver rod, golden rod, truesilver rod and arcanite rod. The copper rod is sold by vendors and the other rods are made by blacksmiths. Find a blacksmith who can make the rods for you or check the auction house and get them. The arcanite rod is expensive. Making a runed arcanite rod is also expensive. Since it is not needed for this guide, but only for the highlevel enchants, you may want to postpone getting one if you are strapped for gold.

Below is a table that shows the amount of dust, essences and shards needed. The minimum amount column shows the minimum amount needed if you would get a skill point every time you enchant something. However at some point a recipe will be yellow or even green when you enchant something so you won't allways get a skill point. The estimated amount column deals with this, so try to get the estimated amount of dust, essences and shards on your storage character. The numbers in the estimated amount column are rounded up to full stacks of whatever the component stacks up to. The numbers in the table do not take into account the disenchanting of items to get the first skill points. If you buy everything you need from the auction house i suggest getting the minimum amount and only buy more when needed.

Getting from 1 to 50
Earlier I wrote that you need runed rods to enchant something. The first rod needed is the runed copper rod. So make a runed copper rod to get your first skill point.

Disenchanting items will get you a skill point. Send the green items you stored on a storage character to your main and disenchant them.

If you were not able to reach 50 with disenchanting, enchant a bracer with minor health to get to skill 50. You can enchant the same bracer over and over again. An annoying window will pop up each time asking if you are sure to overwrite the existing enchant. Just click yes to do so.

Once you hit 50 talk to the appropriate trainer to become Journeyman Enchanter. You have to be level 10 to become Journeyman Enchanter.

This table shows the different recipes used to get from 0 to 50.

Skill Yellow Grey Item Components From - To Components needed
1 5 10 Runed Copper Rod 1x Copper Rod,

Getting from 50 to 125
Enchant the bracer some more with minor health to get to 75. Now enchant the bracer with minor deflection to get to 85.

Enchant a bracer with minor stamina to get to 100.

At 100 you can make a runed silver rod, which you need later on, so make one now and get a skill point.

Enchant the bracer some more with minor stamina to get to 105, a bracer with minor agility to get to 120 and a shield with minor stamina to get to 125.

Once you hit 125 talk to the appropriate trainer to become Expert Enchanter. You have to be level 20 to become Expert Enchanter.

This table shows the different recipes used to get from 50 to 125.

Getting from 125 to 225
Enchant the shield some more with minor stamina to get to 130. Enchant a bracer with lesser stamina to get to 150.

At 150 you can make a runed golden rod, which you need later on, so make one now and get a skill point.

Enchant a bracer with lesser stamina to get to 160. Enchant a shield with lesser stamina or boots with lesser agility to get to 165. Enchant a bracer with spirit to get to 185 and a bracer with strength to get to 200.

Allthough you can become artisan enchanter once you hit 200 it is better to max to 225 first, since the trainer for artisan enchanter is inside an instance. I will get back on this in the next chapter. You have to be level 35 to become Artisan Enchanter.

At 200 you can make a runed truesilver rod, which you need later on, so make one now and get a skill point.

Enchant a bracer with strength some more to get to 205 and a cloak with greater defense to get to 225.

This table shows the different recipes used to get from 125 to 225.

Getting from 225 to 265
At 225 you have to become artisan enchanter to get any further. The master enchanter that teaches artisan enchanting is inside Uldaman. The highest level recipe she trains needs 250 skill, so you want to bring enough material to get to 250.

The table below shows the components needed to get from 225 to 250, so bring these with you when going the the master enchanter in Uldaman. You will need the runed truesilver rod made earlier as well. You will also need gloves, bracers and a chest item to enchant, but you are probably wearing those, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Component Minimum Amount Estimated Amount
Vision Dust 70 (7 stacks) 90 (9 stacks)
Dream Dust 10 (1 stacks) 20 (2 stacks)
Lesser Nether Essence 10 (1 stacks) 20 (2 stacks)
Greater Nether Essence 5 (1 stacks) 10 (1 stacks)
Runed Truesilver Rod 1 1

Once you reach the trainer talk to her to become artisan enchanter. Once you're artisan enchanter enchant gloves with agility to get to 235, a chest item with superior health to get to 245 and a bracer with greater strength to get to 250. Once you have trained all the recipe's she can train you, you can leave the instance.

Enchant the bracer some more with greater strength to get to 265.

Allthough you can get to 270 before the last recipe you train from a trainer becomes yellow, I am not going to use that recipe since it requires wildvine. Wildvine is a herb and can not be aquired through disenchanting. The recipe also uses shards and i want to minimize the use of shards as much as possible. Vendor available recipe's are going to be used to get to 300.

This table shows the different recipes used to get from 225 to 265.

Skill Yellow Grey Item Components From - To Components needed
210 230 270 Enchant Gloves - Agility 1x Lesser Nether Essence,
1x Vision Dust
Required:
Runed Truesilver Rod 225 - 235 (10) 10x Lesser Nether Essence,
10x Vision Dust
220 240 280 Enchant Chest - Superior Health 6x Vision Dust
Required:
Runed Truesilver Rod 235 - 245 (10) 60x Vision Dust
240 260 300 Enchant Bracer - Greater Strength 2x Dream Dust,
1x Greater Nether Essence
Required:
Runed Truesilver Rod 245 - 265 (20) 40x Dream Dust,
20x Greater Nether Essence

Getting from 265 to 300
Get the enchant shield - greater stamina recipe from Mythrin'dir in Darnassus or Daniel Bartlett in Undercity and enchant a shield with greater stamina to get to 290. The recipe is bind on pickup when bought so make sure you buy it yourself and not an alt, friend or guildmember.

At 290 you can make a runed arcanite rod, allthough you don't need one to get to 300, you are going to need one in your enchanting career anyway, so make one now and get a skill point. You can get the runed arcanite rod recipe from Lorelae Wintersong in Moonglade.

Get the enchant cloak - superior defense from Lorelae Wintersong in Moonglade and enchant a cloak with superior defense to get to 300.

Congratulations, you now have 300 skill in enchanting.

This table shows the different recipes used to get from 265 to 300.

Skill Yellow Grey Item Components From - To Components needed
265 285 325 Enchant Shield - Greater Stamina 10x Dream Dust
Required:
Runed Truesilver Rod 265 - 290 (25) 250x Dream Dust
285 305 345 Enchant Cloak - Superior Defense 8x Illusion Dust

1-60 For Groups (Warcraft Guide)

Levels 1-20

I highly advise against grouping with anyone until

you're well into your teens. At this point of the

game, very few people know how to use their classes

and skills properly and honestly, you're going to die

a lot because of it. That being said, there are a few

times you will want to group to get chain quests out

of the way, Defense of the Lands in Loch Modan is one

example.

For alliance members, I suggest heading to Loch Modan

or Westfall in the teens, then head to Redridge until

you're level 20. Yes, if you're a night elf, you need

to travel far but there are no non-night elves in Teldrassil

or Darkshore and you're missing out on grouping with

Mages, Warlocks and Paladins.

For the horde, The Barrens are where it's at. You don't

need to group much at all here but you can head into

the Wailing Caverns instance for some decent experience.

More than likly, you'll be level 20 in less than a week.

If you start on a Friday night and play through the entire

weekend you can hit 20 by Sunday if you know what you're doing.

Grouped with a healer you'll tear through everything with ease

and no downtime.

Levels 21-40

————

At this point you will have a good grasp of what you can and

can't do as a Rouge. You will acquire the last of your Rouge

skills and get to try out different combinations. You will also

get to actually see some use from your talents as you'll be deep

enough into the trees to access some of the stronger talents.

As an alliance you're looking at Duskwood and the Wetlands for 20

through 30, Stranglethron Vale(STV) for nearly all of your 30's.

The quests in STV require groups and give some excellent Rouge items.

As horde, you're more than likely still in the Barrens for a few levels.

Head out to Stontalon Mountains and 1000 Needles for the rest of your 20's,

IN THAT ORDER. For the 30's, I also suggest STV through Gromgol as there are

some very nice quests to complete for some good gear.

Near the end of your 30's, I highly suggest heading to the Scarlet Monastery(SM)

as there is a quest that will give you either a good dagger (Black Menace) or sword

(Blade of Harmony). The Tigerbane also drops here. There's nothing wrong with simply

doing SM until you hit 40.

Before you hit SM, hit Gnomeregan and get to the end to kill Thermaplugg to complete

the quest to get Triprunner Dungarees. You'll keep these pants well into your 40's. You

can also pick up the Toxic Revenger.

I won't go into super big details for these levels as they are fast to get through, 20-30

will be a week's worth and 30-40 about the same. Playing 4 hours a night you should easily

get at least 1 level per session if not more. Just do as many quests as you can.

Levels 41-60

————

This is when the Rouge truly stands out. There is a very little difference between horde and

alliance either as they usually each have their own outpost in most zones. I won't go into

too much detail here because this is the Groups section and you really will be grouped for the end

of the 50's.

You should head to the Badlands for the early 40's and knock off Uldaman by level 45. Head

off to Feralas to complete some easy quests then up to Mauradon. Make sure you collect as

many quests as you can for this instance and go through it multiple times. There is some very

good Rouge loot here so kill all named opponents a few times.

After you've done your run of Mauradon, head to Tanaris and knock off Zul'Farrak. There are

about 9 quests for this zone alone and you can probably do 7 of them in 1 run that lasts 2 hours.

It's best done at level 48+ and you will have a great chance to practice your Distract Pulls here.

Later on, you can head to the Sunken Temple to run off a few quests, which is by now an easy instance.

From 50-55 there's not much going on group wise but you can head to Ungoro Crater and both the East and

the West Plaguelands. From 55 on up, it's Blackrock Deeps, Black Rock Spire, Strathholme and then Scholomance,

in that order of difficulty.

You will often find groups availble for BRD while in a major city. You will find the best gear in these instances.

From 50 on up, never turn down an opportunity to go and from 55 on make an effort to go.

Levels 1-10, stay in your home zone. There are tons of quests to do and you are

close to town when you die. Don't leave until you're level 10 as there's simply

an abundance of things to kill up to that poing and grinding is great. At level 10,

go to the main city and the rouge trainer. They will give you a quest to get the Blade of Cunning.

Do this quest now, as the dagger is quite effective. You can also start using different

weapons at this point by training in certain cities. If you have mining or skinning, start it

now. You will see your first gold by level 8 if you do either profession by selling on the

Auction House in Ironforge/Ogrimmar. You can get to level 10 inside 1 day.

From 11-20, it's pretty much the same thing. Hrode are in the Barrens and Silverpine Forest,

doing quests while the alliance is in Loch Modan and Westfall. Again, the professions can make

a good buck here, so keep at it. Near the end of the 20's you will be able to do your first instance.

I suggest you do it simply for the chace to get better gear.

There's always a chance some stuff will drop by doing the instance but odds are the reward for killing

the end boss is what you really want. Getting to 20 can take a few days if you quest a lot. If you simply

grind, you can finish all of this in 2 days.

You can get to level 20 in a weekend if you don't mess around.

LEVELS 20-30

————

Get your Poison quest done now. alliance, it's easy to solo. horde, get some friends. Make Instant Poison

and see the difference in your damage output.

alliance, you will be hunting in Redridge Mountains and Duskwood. The undead in Raven Cemetary are quite

good to kill as they are humanoid and easy prey. Can always move on to the Nightbanes (SE corner) in the

later 20's. Finishing off the Ogres (West of the road to STV) is easy in the high 20's. All humanoid with

a few casters thrown in. If you're in Stormwind, do the Stockades a few times. There are half a dozen quests

to kill all the named in there and the experience is really good from 25-29. The instance is so small it will

take about 30 minutes per run.

horde can do Stonetalon on the Goblins and Kobolds. Then move onto 1000 Needles and killing Centaurs. You

can also head to HIllsbrad HIlls (on a non-PVP server. PvP servers, this is a zone you will be killed non-

stop) and kill some Farmers and Gnolls.

Not much instance wise, nor gear wise. I suggest just grinding for 2 levels and going back to town only to

train and dump your items on the Auction House. Also, look for upgrades to your weapons. There's a fair

ammount of leather gear available at these levels as well.

LEVELS 30-40

————

First, go to the Auction House and buy all the pages to the Green Hills of Stranglethorn quest. Once you have

them all, heave to STV and the Hunter's Camp to turn it all in for some great experience (10k if memory serves)

and decent enough reward.

STV is really where it's at for the 30's. There is just simply an abundance of quests here that all stack and give

good Rouge rewards. The animal mastery series is really good and you can knock off the first 2-3 quests in each

series alone. The bosses at the end require a group but the rewards are well worth it. Head to Booty Bay and get some

more quests there.

Grind-wise, there's the NE Kurzen Compound that has relatively easy opponents from 30-33. After that, head to Venture Co.

Basecamp and kill goblins. They are casters, so really easy kills if you can catch them before they start casting on you.

They are good from 33-36. After that, head to the middle of the zone and the East side of the road. There are trolls here

to kill that don't have a damage shield. If you were hunting rolls in the low 30's, you would notice some are Shamen and

that damage shield would just destroy you. The higher level ones don't use it for some reason… They can get you to level 40.

They drop Flasks of Mojo that sells well in the Auction House.

In the late 30's you can head to the Alterac Mountains and kill the Ogres. They have really low hit points and armor and therefore

die with ease. There are a few quests you can knock off in Hillsbrad that bring you here as well. If you're a skinner, the Yetis are

great. They are humanoids that you can skin.

NOTE: STV has a Rouge trainer, so you don't have to go back to the main town to train. You might want to leave STV at 35 and come back

near 38. It will make things easier for questing.

Gnomeregan has a very beautiful pear of leather pants for killing Thermaplugg. You'll be using them until you can get an upgrade in Mauradon.

Doing Scarlet Monastery(SM) and killing the bosses gives you either a good sword or dagger. Hell, just doing SM runs is a good way to get some

new gear as the drops rates are quite high and the areas pretty small. The experience is decent enough buy you're here maily for the gear.

LEVELS 40-50

————

If there was a 'Hell Level' this enitre block would be it. It just seems hard to find any good

gear for this area and it hinders your experience gain. There are a lot of quests you can polish

off here and some easy collection ones as well.

Badlands Have a fair amount of collection quests to do and the Ogres in the SW corner offer good cash.

Also, the first Sturdy Junkboxes will drop here. You can do all of the quests solo except for Tremors

of Earth. Do this quest with at least 3 other people, it gives you the Blazewind Breastplate which will be

your BP until the 50's. Just doing quests, you can shoot through 42.

Head to Feralas and do a few quests there. There are some gnolls to kill in the South area as well as some

ogres West of that. Get the simple quests done and then head to Tanaris, where the real gains are. Yetis are

decent enough. I would not stay too long though, as mobs wander a lot ehre and you get adds frequently.

Kill the Wastewater Bandits. They have really low hit points for melee types and

occasionally drop water stachels. There's a quest in Gadgetzan (The main town in

Taris) where 5 of these give ~300xp adn the quest is repeatable. Kill these guys

until you're 45. They spawn all over the East side of the zone and have chests

that pop with them. There are some 'Rouge' bandits that are in stealth but you

should be ok if you pay attention to your combat indicator (Where you level is

indicated, it turns to a X of swords when in combat). Very easy to kill, have a

chance to drop Scorpid patterns, Mageweave out the wazoo! (Great for first-aid

and 1 stack sells for 1g in AH) and decent drops.

Once you hit 45 or 46, head to Hinderlands. You probably have a fair chunk of

quests for this zone anyways. Head to Aerie Peak and start the quests available.

At 45 you should be able to complete every quest here. Make sure you start the

Saving Sharpbeak quest line, as well as the Ancient Egg quest, both requiring

groups to complete. The Saving Sharpbeak quest gives the Gryphon Rider's Stormhammer

a great weapon to have.

Grinding though, there is no better place in all of the game. From 45 to 50 you head

to the Altar of Zul and kill Soothsayers (10 of them). They are casters with really

low hitpoints and long cast times. They occasionally drop Wildvinem, which you should

keep as it sells for nearly 1gp each. They usually drop Troll Necklaces which when turned

in, in groups of 5 gives 390xp. With 4 empty 12 slot bags, I kept one solely for Troll

Necklaces that stack up to 20. They have a good chance of dropping items as well,

including the rare pop of a named troll. The biggest hurdles here are 3 roaming wolves.

When they attack you, just Vanish. It isn't worth the time killing them until 49 as they

spawn quickly. In an hour you'll have memorized the wolves movement pattern and where

the SOothsayers are. You will likely finish levels 45-50 faster than you did 43-44.

Dunemaul Compound in Tanaris isn't too bad either as the ogres have a better chance of

having Junkboxes on them. They do hit hard however. I qould only consider this if the

trolls are camped.

Ghosts in Azshara are reportedly silver mines and there are a lot of casters. They tend to

be camped by higher levels though.

Instance wise, do Uldaman for the quests once you hit 43. There's not much item wise and the

creatures spawn so close the experience isn't too good. Do Zul'Farrak for some decent leather

loots (Scorpashi items). There are about 9 quests that deal with this area, including the

Ancient Egg and Saving Sharpbeak quests. Razorfen Downs are pretty good here too, with decent

gear but it's a low 40s zone. Mauradon should only be done near the end of the 40s as the bosses

can be really hard and the 'orange' side of the zone is deadly to anyone under 50. In fact, if

you can, avoid the 'orange' side of the zone completely. It causes a very Large amount of lag,

everything seems to posion you or have a damage shield.

LEVELS 50-60

————

The 50's are really all about the last push so you can do Blackrock instance runs. You also get the

final super powerful skills. Eviscerate now does at base damage what you were hitting for in criticals

in the 40s.

At 50, head to Ungoro as it has a ton of collection quests availible. It is entirely a beast zone.

However, there is no cash that drops but there is still a chance of items dropping. Doing all the quests

from Marshall's Refuge (that are non-elite) can get you 2 levels in a day. It really is ridiculous the

amount of experience you can gain from this zone with now effort. Bring a Mithril Casing, you need it

for a certain quest.

The Blasted Lands have 5 quests that stack fro a temporary stat buff to each stat. Personally, the quests

that need stuff from Basilisks and Vultures are not worth the effort as the drops are way too slow. They

are also repeatable for the experience. The ogres are also decent experience and start to drop Heavy

Junkboxes. Level 51-53 is a good spot on these. Again, they can hit hard compared to other humanoids.

Felwood has some good kills at Jaedenar that give fraction to the Timbermaw fraction. At

this point you should have your set weapons until you do high level instances, so put

Demonslay on both. This gives a chance to stun and 100 damage hit on all demons, which

Felwood is full of. With the enchantment it's incredible the amout of kills you can rack

up. Decent for the lower 50s. Actually some people stay here longer with Demonslay because

the kills become almost trivial, killing non-stop with out the need to heal.

Azshara is also a good area to run through at this point with dual Demonslay weapons.

The West side of the zone has some satyrs to kill which are pretty easy to keep clear,

though they tend to have imp minions. The northern part of the sone has more Satyrs

near level 51 if you find the West Camp Slow.

The mid 50s allow you to move to Winterspring. In the SW corner, there's a Dwarf lady

who gives a decent cloak for just walking from one end of the zone to the other. The

town also has a fair chunk of quests to complete, which aren't too bad. The really good

spot though is Lak Kel'Therill. It has more ghosts which are easy kills until about level

58.

The Plaguelands are the final area to hunt in. The West from 52-55 and the East from 55 to

60. They are just full of undead to kill. Mainly though, you're here for the Argent Dawn

faction, which can only be gained when you're under level 60. Might as well get it done before

that final level up. If you're looking for more deomons to kill, the East has a lot of hounds

but that's pretty much it.

The end of your travels will be in Blackrock Stronghold. Getting the basics of the spawn will

kill you a few times but once you get the hang of it, the experience is golden. Half of it

is casters, which are perfect for killing. you will more than likely hit 60 here.

Instances next. you want to finish everything off in Mauradon before 55. The Trash Blade

(from killing the princess) is an excellent sword, only being beat by a rare world drop

or killing the end boss of Blackrock Spire. Finish up any quests left for the SUnken Temple

as well, there are a few that give some decent rewards. There are quests for this instance all over

the world, so don't be surprised when you find a new one.

Blackrock Depths and Blackrock Spire are where you will spend your upper 50s. The drops here are

ridiculously good and require you to have a skilled group. Mess up just a little bit and you wipe.

You will want to finish the 50s so bad that you're more than likely to just plow through in a week.

WoW Detailed Farming Methods (Warcraft Guide)

Here is a list of mobs/areas which you can farm for gold extremely efficiently!

You can farm the stockades in Stormwind City for easy greens and wool + linen cloth. This is THE BEST dungeon/instance to farm wool cloth because every other kill yields 3-5 pieces of wool and there are about 100 npcs in this instance. A stack of wool can go from 77silver to 2 World Of warcraft gold on the AH. You can do the math.

You can farm scarlet monastary chests and locked chests for the chance to get large knapsacks (sells for 1.25-2 world of warcraft gold) or a BLUE item. I roughly get a blue item once every 11th locked chests. If you focus on the graveyard, library, and armory (NOT CATHEDRAL), then you can easily get about 8 locked chests an hour, and about 10 regular chests. Need a rogue to lockpick or take blacksmithing and use golden Skeleton Keys (requires 150 blacksmith skill).

You can farm furlbogs in southern map of Felwood for 1-3 pieces of mageweave every 3.5th kill. About 40 npcs in the area. Easily can make 100 mageweave an hour and 9 World of warcraft gold an hour off coin drops, for a total of 20-27 world of warcraft gold an hour.

You can farm Zul'Farrak outside in Tanaris zone for 2-5 pieces of mageweave every 3rd kill. About 40 npcs spread around that region. Can easily make 5 World Of warcraft gold an hour off coin drops and 80 mageweave an hour and sell that on the auction house for 10 world of warcraft gold.

You can farm western plaguelands at the felstone field and field next to it for easy 25 world of warcraft gold an hour, traveller backpacks that sell from 15-27 world of warcraft gold an hour, and 1-3 pieces of runecloth every 5th kill. You can easily make a total of 60-120 gold an hour if you grind fast and it is not camped (which usually it isn't). Both farmsteads have about 60 npcs or 80npcs. Plenty for everyone.

Farm the center of thelsamar. There is an island full of troggs that are level 13-15 called stone splinters that drop 1-3 cloth every 3rd kill. Drops a green every 10th kill.

Farm the south of thelsamar to kill level 9-11 troggs that drop 1-3 cloth every 5th kill. Drops a green every 10th kill.

Can farm Whelplings on the east side of badlands in lelthor ravine. They drop "Dark Whelpling" which can sell for 35-200gold on the auction house. They make great companions and gold generation.

You can farm ShadowFangKeep south of The Supulcher south of the Undercity. They also drop the horde equivalent of 3-5 wool cloth per kill and 3-5 linen cloth. There are about 300 npcs here. You can make about 5 World Of warcraft gold an hour off coin drops and another 20 world of warcraft gold off greens and Wool Cloth sales on AH.

Can grind ragefire caverns in Orgrimmar (horde only or suicidal alliance) for 3-5 linen cloth 80% of the time off humanoids, and massive amounts of low level greens. Some greens sell on the ah for 1-2 World Of warcraft gold each to twinks. A green drops roughly every 7th kill.

You can farm normal rock elementals in the south, middle edge of The Badlands zone (nestled in a small valley). They drop a lot of grey loot that vendors for 50silver to 1.5 world of warcraft gold and drop it every other kill. They also drop ELEMENTAL EARTH which sells on the ah for 1-3 World Of warcraft gold A PIECE. Average drop of the earths is 1 out of 17.

Can farm greater obsidian elementals in the middle of Searing Gorge zone. They drop an elemental earth every 20th kill and an essence of earth every 33rd kill. You can easily get 3 essences and 5 elemental earth's an hour, and resell them for a whopping 70 world of warcraft gold or more.

Can kill level 53-54 toxic horrors in felwood on the middle top area of the map, west of the alliance flight path for essence of waters every 18th kill. These essences of water sell for 7-20 world of warcraft gold each.

Can kill level 55-58 undead in eastern plaguelands for essence of water that drop every 33rd kill. While this isn't a good ratio, there are hundreds of these. Concentrate on the middle of the map where you can find Plague Monstrosity, Plague Ravager, Blighted Surge, Discordant Surge, and Blighted Horrors. These essences of water sell for 7-20 world of warcraft gold each.

Can farm Living blaze level 54-55 for Essence of fire every 50th kill in Un'Goro crater. Level 53-54 Scorching Elementals in Un'Goro crater for Essence of fire every 20th kill. Sell the essence of fire for 7-20 world of warcraft gold on the auction house, each.

Can kill entropic Beasts in the middle part of felwood for essence of fire every 100th kill. Not great but if you want an uncamped spot… Sell the essence of fire for 7-20 world of warcraft gold on the auction house, each.

Can kill Dust Stormers in Silithus for essence of airs on the entire top side of the map that drop every 70th kill. Can kill Whirling Invaders that spawn from the event for essence of airs that drop every 20th kill. Can kill level 58 Cyclone Warriors for essence of airs that drop every 30th kill in the middle to bottom part of silithus. Sell these essence of airs for 15-30 world of warcraft gold each due to higher rarity.

You can farm elemental slaves on the west side of Alterac mountains (horde only) for the chance to get elemental earths (1 out of 15 kills). Goes for 1-3 world of warcraft gold a piece on Auction House.

Can farm elemental exiles on the southwest area of Arathi Highlands for elemental earths. Same 1-3 World Of warcraft gold per earth on AH.

Can farm Dabryie's farm in Arathi Highlands (horde only) for 30 npcs of 2-6 silver each on 3-5 minute spawn timers. Often times not camped. Easily can generate 1-5 world of warcraft gold an hour, more if you are an AOE class.

Can farm Go'Shek farm in Arathi Highlands (alliance only) for 30-40 npcs of 2-6 silver each on 3-5 minute spawn timers. Often times not camped. Easily can generate 1-5 World Of warcraft gold an hour, more if you are an AOE class.

You can area of effect the scarlet monastery graveyard (in Tristfall glades northeast corner of map) for a good 2silver - 6 silver per kill. An aoe class can easily farm and reset the instance for a good 30-60 world of warcraft gold an hour.

You can farm warpwoods and deadwoods (funny, walking tree treant guys) for 2-10 silver, rare herb drops that sell for 1-5 World Of warcraft gold EACH, major healing potions (sells for 1-1.5 world of warcraft gold each on my server), and Living Essences (sells for 8-14 World Of warcraft gold EACH on AH!). The warpwoods are located on the north side of Felwood zone near the alliance flight path person. The deadwoods are located just southwest of where the warpwoods are. I made an easy 40-80 world of warcraft gold an hour depending on AH prices with my 60 PALADIN. If you have any other faster dps class, you can EASILY get DOUBLE the World Of warcraft gold per hour I got (I should've rolled a different class…. *cries*).

You can farm twilight hammer elites in Searing Gorge. They are located JUST WEST of the alliance/horde flightpoints. You can easily get 3-5 mageweave cloth per drop and about 2silver-16 silver per kill, with 9/10 silver being the most common drop of coin. Easily can make 10 world of warcraft gold per hour off coin drops and 5-20 World Of warcraft gold per hour off the green and mageweave drops.

You can farm The Stockades elites located in Stormwind City for decent low level silvers and 3-5 wool cloth per drop on kill. A stack of 20 wool sells for 1-1.15 world of warcraft gold on my server.

You can farm Dustwallow Marsh dragonkin elites (forgot name) on the south side of the map. They are actually Onyxia's guards but they are low level 41-43 gold elites. They drop a nice 3silver - 12silver on kill and can be skinned for medium and heavy leather(not sure on heavy but it might happen i think, i know medium is confirmed). They also drop the occasional 3-5 mageweave cloth. Easily can earn at least 30 World Of warcraft gold an hour.

You can farm Alterac Mountain ruins Ogre elites for easy, quick cash (located in middle of the map). THey are level 37-40. They drop a moderate amount of greens and once every 110th kill a blue item will drop, potions every 15th kill, and about 3-10 silver each kill. Don't forget to go inside the unbroken buildings because a named Ogre Elite resides in each one. Watch out for mel'gore the miser wandering patrol. I easily earned 40 world of warcraft gold an hour.

Then there is the ultimate, the Wetlands zone. On the east side of the map leading to and near Grim Batol are level 58-60 dragonkin elites. Some of these guys drop up to FORTY-FIVE (45!!!) silver on kill! My paladin dps sucks too much to make this worth while but any dps class will love this place. It's also virtually uncamped. Just watch out for the named elite dragons that roam but they are *very* easy to avoid since they're so big, walk so slow, and you can pull your mobs away from his patrol path and not get agro. This area can potentially make you 45-80 World Of warcraft gold an hour.

Then there's the classic Hearthglen (north side, middle, of western plaguelands) elites of 55-57. They drop up to 33 silver but they hit my 4000armor plate for 150-200 damage and have about 7000 hp. It's also somewhat camped but generally is less camped than most other high end elites - you can easily find a spot of elites and safely solo if you pull correctly.

There's also Tyr's Hand located in the southeast corner of EASTERN plaguelands. These are 53-54 elites but hit for 220 on my 4000 armor plate. They also drop up to about 30 silver and rare items but it's often camped a lot.

500 gold in 2 days with Skinning (World of Warcraft Guide)

Angerclaw Maulers
Felwood, X37, Y44.

I've posted about this spot before awhile back but I'm taking it upon myself to do so again because I have made a sickly amount of gold here latley, and a very disturbing amount in the past 2 weeks.

As a 60 Rogue in full epic gear(bloodfang) I can kill these in about 7 seconds each, literally. The respawn rate is insanely fast, When you kill the whole spawn camp of them which is about 11-12 and take a 1 minute break you'll start having respawns to kill.

Where does the money come from you ask?

Firstly you have some stackable gray items that are very commonly dropped:

Large Bear Bone(Non-Stackable) - 14s 84c each
Bear Jaw(Stackable) - 8s 98c — 89s 80c per Stack of 10.
Savage Bear Claw(Stackable) - 5s 78c — 57s 80c per Stack of 10.
Bear Flank(Stackable) - 5s 78c — 57s 80c per Stack of 10.
Wicked Claw(Stackable) - 5s — 25s per Stack of 5.

I make anywhere from 9 to 13g in gray items per hour here.

Even without the skinning compared to most places this is a great camp for gold/hr. But skinning is where a lot of the money to come from if you want the results like I get.

You can skin Rugged and Thick leather off of these. My server prices are 2.50g per stack of Rugged and 1.50g per stack of Thick. Server prices are going to range, The intake of gold on this obviously is based only on my servers prices, But you will still make amazing gold here if you put the time in.

So where does all the money come from?
I take 8 hours a day and I run it here, Straight. Not every day, Usually in the evenings and into the late hours on the nights I'm not raiding and ocasionally if there is a third day I'll get up around 7am to start and I can be done around mid afternoon so I can enjoy the day or do something else in game.

A single hour run brings on brings me in 6 Stacks of Rugged Leather and 5 stacks of Thick Leather. I don't know if it's because my kill rate is fast or just pure luck, But I can't remember when I have come away from this with less leather then that in an hours run.

6x 2.50g = 15g per hour
5x 1.50g = 7.5g per hour

If I average out my usual grey items income per hour then I come away with 10.5g per hour. I'm going to edit this tomorrow and record all of my drops and leather intake from my 8 hours, But this is accurate. I've been making money like this for months now.

Now, On to the juicy part…

Intake per hour based on Leather sales on the AH is 22.50g Per HOUR.

Intake per hour based on sellable greys averages out at about 10.50g

33 gold per hour.
Wipe the drool off keyboard and keep reading :P

I run this 8 hours per day, Two days a week. Sometimes 3 but rarely. Skinning is obviously required to get the bigger chuck of change for your time. Some of you all day BG'ers could make litterally thousands of gold here in a week if you took a week off from all day long BG and went here, Just a thought. And I'm not exaggerating. Thousands.

I try to run these 2 days back to back and I generally refuse to put up my auctions and vendor until I have my 16 hours worth of loot. I just throw it all in the bank.

At the end of my 2 days I usually end up taking 510g - 545g out of my mailbox. +- a few gold for randomness of drops.

I have over 5000g in my bag right now. If you want an exact number then it's 5649g.
All of that gold was made in this spot except about 600g.

Maybe some of you should thinking of switching professions :P

Powerleveling Still Going Strong (WoW Horde GUides)

Req to Powerlvl: 60 Class (Easier with some1 that can heal) Powerlvlee Now heres the trick if it is, and i doubt blizz will be able to do ne thing against this. First go to a spot depending on the powerlvlee's lvl that is high red to skull red, now with the 60 try to have him body pull a mob but does not hit the target. Now after the 60 has first agg. have the lowbie start to try to attack the mob untill it comes onto the lowbie, when that happens try to get a few more % off the mob before the 60 takes controll and kills the mob, after you have enuff agro to last have the 60 kill it, and there you go all the xp for that mob and your lvl. I've done this as a 28 priest with a 60 shammy, the shammy would body pull a mob i would try to pull it off then the shammy would mostly just heal the agro off me and id be able to keep hitting it and get better control of the mob. When i did, the shaman killed the lvl 50+ elite and i got 800xp+ (this is with the 200% bonus xp mind you) as a regular mob i would only get 100-200 xp. (Regular as in same lvl mob as my priest) also forgot to add you need to be ungrouped the WHOLE time for this to work Doing this also help the lowbies economy, i made about 5g just after a few kills and the sell loot, also from the green/blues they would drop sold nicely in the AH Make sure you can hit the mob at least, and dont get 1 shotted by them. Well GL and have fun

WoW Detailed Farming Methods (WoW Horde GUides)
